Prosciutto- Apple Wedges

The juicy crunch of an apple wedge combined with sweet cream cheese and salty prosciutto are a delicious combination.

4 medium apples (Red Delicious, Cortland, Empire, or Ida Red)
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
4 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
1/2 pound prosciutto slices

1. Slice each apple into 8 wedges. Brush each cut surface with lemon juice.

2. Spread cream cheese thinly on each cut side. Wrap a thin slice of prosciutto around each wedge. Serve immediately or refrigerate, and remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving time.

*Try substituting smoked salmon for the prosciutto.
*If preparing this recipe as gluten free, just be sure to use a brand of prosciutto that is free of gluten.
