Yield: 5 cups
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 14 hrs
This is a great overnight recipe- start it in the crockpot overnight and finish it up in the morning.
12 to 14 medium cooking apples, cored, peeled and chopped
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1. Fill crock pot with apples. Cover and cook on low heat for 10-12 hours, or until apples are mushy.
2. Remove apples and purée in a food processor. Return puréed mixture to the crockpot. Add sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Cook, uncovered, on low until mixture is reduced to the consistency desired, 4-6 hours.
3. Pour into jars and refrigerate.
*This will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator.
