www.RecipeGirl.com
One 8.25oz can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 medium onion, cut into slices and separated into rings
½ cup molasses
½ cup cider vinegar
¼ cup soy sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp tabasco
Mix all ingredients. Marinate meat in a covered non-metal dish or sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Bake or grill.
Yield: 2 1/2 cups
Cooking Tips
*If you plan to use the marinade to baste during the cooking process, be sure to draw some out of the bowl before you add the raw meat. Then the reserved marinade will be safe to use for a basting sauce.
**This is a good marinade for chicken or turkey.
