Even with a slab of butter, I had to choke it back. It is possible you are missing the liquid (milk) from this recipe? The other recipe for cornbread I have (fabulous) uses 1 1/2 cups of milk. I am disappointed that I used my freshly pureed pumpkin on this! Will absolutely never make this again. Though the taste is nice, this is a VERY dry bread.
