Holy cow! I made a batch one night and, while tasty, were still a little on the cake-y side. WELL -- the next morning I just had to sneak a taste to see how the icing set up and WOWZERS!! The brownies were ultra-fudgey and the icing was, well, to die for! Between three of us, we finished the entire pan in a weekend. THANK YOU for such an incredible recipe! I haven't read the recipe (I'm afraid I might immediately bake), but I'm sure if you heat the kahlua over the stove for the butter frosting that would work to cook off as well. @RecipeGirl, Actually, the alcohol cooks off.
