Total flop! Loved the idea, but followed the directions and tips and they came out like lace cookies and broke at the slightest touch. Taste was good though. After 2 trays of unsuccessful cookies, I used the dough and make balls dipped in melted Andes mints as candy filler for my cookie plates.

These cookies were terrible!
No matter how long I tried to get the ingredients to stick, they just wouldn't! It was impossible to roll them out.

After adding some more butter and a few other things, we were able to roll them into little balls to at least try and cook them.
No taste to these cookies whatsoever! I wouldn't recommend this recipe at all.

eek! Yeah, they're really not full of red velvet flavor and the dip in chocolate is definitely essential. I love the look of them and wish it produced that red velvet flavor that I love so much. Tips are welcome!

These cookies are GORGEOUS!!! :D

However, I must say...they were the worst tasting cookies I have ever had in my life! :O

I made them twice: once, following this recipe exactly, and the second time modified: with more butter, brown sugar and vanilla for SOME flavor. I couldn't believe this recipe didn't have vanilla! You can't bake something like this without vanilla! Holy moly.

But even with the vanilla, they just tasted so awful, literally the only flavor was from the white chocolate. Everyone thought they were pretty though.

Maybe there is someone who knows how to modify these to make them taste better?

Noor- shortbread cookies in general aren't very sweet. These are a little different. Not so much red-velvet tasting... more of the color than anything.
