Easter Dessert Recipe: Lemon Truffle Cake
Here’s the perfect dessert for Easter: Lemon Truffle Cake. It’s a four-layer white cake with a creamy lemon filling. The “lemon truffle” consists of lemon curd with white chocolate and cream cheese mixed in. It’s pretty much to-die-for.
Here’s a photo how-to:

I recently tested this recipe by serving it to friends at a pre-Easter dinner party. It’s safe to say that we all absolutely loved it… kids too. The cake is very tender and those layers of lemon truffle filling are incredible. I dare you to hold-back from eating the truffle filling by the spoonful. If you’re making this cake ahead of time, I’d put together the layers & spread the lemon curd on top… then wait until a few hours before serving to ice on the whipped cream. We had leftovers for a few days after the party, and the leftovers were just as delicious as the day it was served.

Oh, lemon curd – are there any more beautiful words in the English language? I have four lemons on my counter and methinks this cake is where they’re going.

Looks fabulous. I love lemon curd. I could probably just sit and eat that with a spoon. But this does look better.

Gorgeous! I’m a fan of citrus desserts this time of year… especially lemon and lime! This cake looks wonderful, and I love that it’s topped with lemon curd instead of a heavier icing like buttercream or cream cheese. Yum!

Although I’m already set for our Easter menu, I haven’t decided what to do for dessert as there are lots of choices to consider, but this Lemon Truffle Cake looks and sounds so good that I must include in my dessert list!
Great set-by-step photos you got here, by the way. Made me hungry.

I am so excited about this recipe. I just saw individual slices of an almost identical cake at whole foods for $2 a slice. It looked amazing. I had a hard time deciding on the lemon truffle cake or a Chocolate Peanut Bar. Guess which one won? The chocolate of coarse!
