Gold Medal Flour Gift Basket Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks to all for entering!

The folks at Gold Medal Flour are giving one lucky Recipe Girl reader one of these fun baking-themed gift packs!

Here’s what’s included:

Gold Medal Flour apron

Wilton Elite 3-tier cooling rack

Silpat non-stick baking mat

Norpro stainless steel cookie scoop

Over the Rainbow cupcake liners (from Sweet Shop Lulu)

Gold Medal measuring cups

Gold Medal bowl scraper

I received all of these goodies myself, and my favorites are the stackable rack, silpat mat and cookie scoop!  Oh, and those cupcake liners… adorable!

    Pie, pie, pie, pie, pie! My grandmother’s pie crust recipe and almost any filling, though my favorites are her Marionberry pie recipe and a pumpkin pie recipe that I found. On Thanksgiving, I bake at least 5 pies and we often don’t have much company, just lots of pie!

    To this day my all time favorite thing to bake is my families Scottish Tea Scones, the recipe has been passed down and every time I make them I remember my mom making them with me. I also love pumpkin pie, especially since it brings back so many smells and memories of the holidays. I am so happy that this year I can use the pumpkins from my garden to make these delicious pies. I can’t wait for fall and baking season to begin.

    I especially like to bake with my 3 year old granddaughter! It is such a treat to have her help out in “Nana’s” kitchen. She really ‘gets’ that baking is a science..exact measurements!

    I love to bake…period. It is hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to chose one it would have to be cheesecake. I especially like to bake cheesecakes… because they are a no-fail dessert that nearly everybody loves and there are so many variations. A sweet ending to a perfect meal with family and friends!

    I love to bake all kinds of desserts. My favorite family recipe is one that my mother made for many years – called – Mandel Bread. It is a cookie, much like a Biscotti, but made with almonds. The name Mandel means almond. But you can make the cookie with any kind of nuts you prefer. My mother just recently passed away, and the entire family has requested her recipe for this cookie and I have loved sharing it with them. My daughter and I make these cookies together and I hope to pass the tradition on to my granddaughters.
