Two

cans
of whole water chestnuts |
|

bottle of soy sauce |
|
|
|
|
granulated sugar |
|
|

lb |

bacon |
|
|

Marinate
water chestnuts in soy sauce for at least 3
hours, turning often. Drain and roll in sugar. |

Preheat oven
to 400 degrees F. |

Wrap each
water chestnut in ½ strip of bacon (don't
stretch the bacon). Secure bacon with
toothpicks. |

Bake for
15-20 minutes, or until bacon is partially
crisp. Serve hot. |
