  APPETIZER DIPS AND SPREADS: 
Hot Shrimp Dip
 

Hot Shrimp Dip

 

Warm and a little spicy...
 

¼ cup 

 

onions, finely minced

 

1 Tbs 

 

butter

 

8 oz 

 

cream cheese, softened

 

8 oz 

 

sour cream

 

4.5 oz 

 

can deveined shrimp, drained

 

1 Tbs 

 

fresh lemon juice

 

½ tsp 

 

salt

 

¼ tsp 

 

white pepper

 

dash 

 

Tabasco sauce

 

¼ tsp 

 

chili powder

 

¼ tsp 

 

worcestershire sauce

 

¼ tsp 

 

garlic salt

 

 

 

paprika to add pink color

Sauté onion in butter. Stir in cream cheese and sour cream. Add shrimp, mashing into bits with rubber spatula. Add lemon juice and seasonings.

Serve warm from small chafing dish, accompanied by potato chips, corn chips or crackers.

 
 

Yield: 3 cups
