 Homemade Kahlua

 

Great to have around for a holiday party...
 

4 cups 

 

sugar

 

½ cup 

 

instant coffee granules

 

3 cups 

 

water

 

dash 

 

of salt

 

2 ½ cups 

 

vodka

 

3 Tbs 

 

vanilla

 

 

In large saucepan, boil sugar, coffee, water and salt for 1 hour. Remove from heat and add vodka and vanilla. Cool and put in dark colored bottles.

 

Yield: 1 1/2 quarts
