granulated sugar

 

6 dashes 

 

bitters

 

Two 1" strips 

 

lemon rind

 

12 Tbs 

 

bourbon

 

 

 

crushed ice

Place sugar, bitters and rind in a cocktail shaker; crush with the back of a spoon. Add bourbon; stir to combine.

Fill two tall glasses with crushed ice. Divide bourbon mixture between the two glasses and pour over crushed ice.
