 Santaluz Summer Iced Tea

 

A tall glass of ice filled with delicious tea makes for a cool summer afternoon...
 

½ cup 

 

sugar

 

2 large 

 

lemons, juiced

 

4 cups 

 

boiling water

 

3 Tbs 

 

Earl Grey loose tea, or 4 teabags

 

 

 

handful of mint leaves

 

4 cups 

 

cold water

Combine sugar, lemon juice and 2 cups boiling water. Steep for 15 minutes.

In another container, combine tea, mint and 2 cups of boiling water and steep for 15 minutes.

Remove mint and strain both mixtures. Add 4 cups of cold water. Chill for several hours before serving.

 

Yield: 8 cups

 

 Cooking Tips

*Amounts of tea, water, and sugar may be adjusted for a stronger, weaker, sweeter taste.
