 Garlic Bread

 

Delicious version from a great pizza restaurant...
 

8 Tbs 

 

butter

 

2 tsp 

 

Parmesan cheese

 

1½ Tbs 

 

granulated garlic

 

2 tsp 

 

basil flakes

 

2 Tbs 

 

olive oil

 

One loaf 

 

french bread, about 18" long

Slowly melt butter over low heat or in double boiler. Add Parmesan, garlic, basil and olive oil.

Cut fresh french bread in half and split again in half to get 4 pieces.

Using a pastry brush, apply mixture to the open bread pieces. Be sure to get the brush to the bottom of the mixture each time you dip.

Broil lightly until the edges sizzle, about 1-2 minutes. Cut each large piece in half to make 8 smaller pieces and serve.
