 Tuna Salad Pitas

 

Fresh flavor for these fabulous pitas...
 

6½ oz 

 

can tuna packed in water, drained and flaked

 

8 slices 

 

bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

 

¼ cup 

 

minced celery

 

3 Tbs 

 

mayonnaise

 

½ tsp 

 

onion salt

 

¼ tsp 

 

fresh lemon juice

 

2 rounds 

 

of pita bread

 

 

 

alfalfa sprouts

 

 

 

sliced or diced tomatoes

In a medium bowl, mix tuna, bacon, celery, mayo, onion salt and lemon juice. Stir until all ingredients are blended well. If making ahead, cover and chill.

Cut pita rounds in half to make half-circles. Fill each half with filling, sprouts, and tomatoes.

 

Servings: 2

Yield: 4 halves
