french bread, about 18" long |

Slowly melt
butter over low heat or in double boiler. Add
Parmesan, garlic, basil and olive oil. |

Cut fresh
french bread in half and split again in half to
get 4 pieces. |

Using a
pastry brush, apply mixture to the open bread
pieces. Be sure to get the brush to the bottom
of the mixture each time you dip. |

Broil
lightly until the edges sizzle, about 1-2
minutes. Cut each large piece in half to make 8
smaller pieces and serve. |
