peppers (any color), seeded and sliced |

Sauté sliced
onion in a little bit of oil for 2-3 minutes.
Add peppers and cook, stirring frequently, for
several minutes. Add the meatballs and sauce,
and stir until well-mixed and heated through. |

Split the
loaf in half horizontally and spoon the
meatballs, peppers, onions and sauce onto the
bottom half of the bread. Replace top and
carefully slice loaf into four pieces. |

Serve while
still warm. |
