TOPPING: |

Preheat oven
to 350 degrees F. |

In a large
mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups of sugar
until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Add eggs,
one at a time, beating well after each addition. |

In separate
bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and
baking soda. Add alternately to butter mixture
with sour cream. Mix until batter is smooth. |

Spoon 1/3 of
batter into a greased 10" tube pan. |

Combine
topping ingredients in small bowl. Sprinkle 1/3
over the batter in the pan. Layer 1/3 more
batter on top of cinnamon mixture. Continue
layers, ending with cinnamon mixture on top. |

Bake 60-70
minutes, or until cake tests done (toothpick
inserted in the middle comes out clean). Cool
for 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cool
completely. Butter the top and let melt into the
cake. |
