German Crumb Coffee Cake

 

Yummy family recipe passed down...
 

1 ½ cups 

 

flour

 

1 cup 

 

sugar

 

2 Tbs 

 

baking powder

 

1 large 

 

egg

 

 

 

milk

 

6 Tbs 

 

melted butter

 

 

 

sugar and cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 8x8" square pan.

Sift flour, sugar and baking powder into medium mixing bowl. Set aside

Break an egg into a 1 cup measuring cup. Beat and add milk to the top of the cup. Beat more. Add to dry ingredients and beat 3 minutes. Mix in 3 Tablespoons of melted butter.

Pour mixture into prepared pan. Drizzle 3 more Tablespoons of melted butter on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture. Stir slightly into the batter to create a swirl effect.

Bake 30-35 minutes.
