Just like mom
used to make (and still does)...

bananas, mashed |
|

eggs |

vanilla |

buttermilk (plus an additional
Tablespoon) |

vegetable or canola oil |

baking soda |

chopped nuts (optional) |

Preheat oven
to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 9x5" loaf pan. |

Combine
first 6 ingredients and mix well. In a separate
bowl, combine flour, baking soda and nuts.
Stir into wet mixture and pour into prepared
pan.
Bake until golden brown - 1 hour and 15 minutes- on top shelf of
the oven. |
