quick cooking oatmeal (uncooked) |

butter, melted |

milk |

egg,
beaten |

raisins |

Preheat oven
to 425 degrees F. |

In a large
bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cream
of tartar, salt, and oatmeal. Mix well. |

Add butter,
milk and egg to dry ingredients. Mix just until
moist. Stir in raisins. |

Drop onto
greased cookie sheet in large scoops. Bake 12-15
minutes. |

Yield: 8 to 12
scones |
