In separate
bowl, mix together milk, eggs, sugar, salt,
raisins, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour this
mixture over the bread chunks and gently turn
and cover with the wet mixture. Pour entire
mixture into the baking dish and let stand for
10 minutes (or it can be refrigerated overnight
to be baked the next morning). Dot the butter on
top. |

Bake,
covered, in preheated 325 degree F oven for 30
minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes more. If
you like a crustier brown top, slip the dish
under a hot broiler until golden brown. |
