 Avocado Spread

 

A butter-like consistency makes this a great spread for sandwiches, as well as a topping for grilled meats...
 

2 large 

 

ripe avocados, peeled and pitted

 

1½ Tbs 

 

fresh lime juice

 

¼ tsp 

 

Kosher salt

 

1/8 tsp 

 

garlic powder

 

1/8 tsp 

 

ground cayenne pepper

 

1/8 tsp 

 

ground black pepper

 

¼ cup 

 

extra virgin olive oil

In food processor or blender, process all ingredients (except olive oil) until smooth. Scrape sides now and then to incorporate all ingredients.

With machine running, pour oil in slowly and process until smooth.

Chill for one hour before serving.

 

Yield: 1 1/4 cups
