 Hawaiian Hot Pepper Jelly

 

A marvelous accompaniment for meats and vegetables, or it may be served with cheese and crackers...
 

¾ cup 

 

sweet bell peppers

 

¼ cup 

 

hot peppers,

 

6½ cups 

 

granulated sugar

 

1½ cups 

 

apple cider vinegar

 

1 bottle 

 

Certo

Discard seeds from peppers, grind separately and retain juice. In measuring peppers, pack solidly in measuring cup and flood with juice.

In large saucepan, bring peppers, sugar and vinegar to a hard, rolling boil for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat; add Certo, stir, pour into clean, sterilized jars. Seal with paraffin.

 

Yield: Six jars

*Oil hands, or wear rubber gloves when handling peppers.
