In large
bowl, combine sugars, butter and oil. Beat well.
Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. |

In separate
bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking
soda and cream of tartar. Gradually add dry
ingredients to wet. Mix together until well
blended. |

Cover bowl
with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. |

When ready
to bake, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Form dough
into small balls and flatten slightly with a
fork. Bake for 10-12 minutes. |

Yield:
5 dozen small cookies, or 2 1/2 dozen large cookies |
