chopped, unpeeled red delicious apples |

Preheat oven
to 375 degrees. |

In large
bowl, cream together sugar and shortening. Beat
in egg. |

Sift
together dry ingredients and add to wet mixture.
Beat until well-blended. Gently stir in apples. |

Drop in the
shape of a ball onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes. |

Yield: 3 dozen

Cooking Tips |
|
*If you prefer, you
can peel the apples. Try it both ways...
*Use a small ice-cream scooper to scoop out the dough.
This will give you cookies with a nice, uniform shape. |
