 Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

 

Double the flavor...
 

1 ¼ cups 

 

butter, softened

 

1 cup 

 

granulated sugar

 

1 cup 

 

packed brown sugar

 

2 large 

 

eggs

 

2 tsp 

 

vanilla extract

 

2 cups 

 

flour

 

¾ cup 

 

unsweetened cocoa

 

1 tsp 

 

baking soda

 

½ tsp 

 

salt

 

2 cups 

 

chocolate chips (use 2 different kinds)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.

In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in chips.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-9 minutes. Do not overbake- cookies will be soft, and will puff while baking and flatten while cooling. Cool slightly and then remove from cookie sheet to rack.

 

Yield: 4 1/2 dozen
