Glazed Chocolate Chip Brownies

 

 

One of the best brownie recipes we've had...
 

 

 

BROWNIE:

 

2/3 cup 

 

butter, melted

 

2 large 

 

eggs, lightly beaten

 

1 tsp 

 

vanilla extract

 

2 cups 

 

granulated sugar

 

1 1/3 cups 

 

all-purpose flour

 

¾ cup 

 

baking cocoa

 

½ tsp 

 

baking soda

 

¼ tsp 

 

salt

 

½ cup 

 

water

 

1 cup 

 

(6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
 

 

 

 

GLAZE:

 

¾ cup 

 

semi-sweet chocolate chips

 

¼ cup 

 

milk

 

2 Tbs 

 

butter

 

1 ¼ cups 

 

powdered sugar

 

1 tsp 

 

vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9x2-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.

In a bowl, combine the butter, eggs and vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients; add to the butter mixture and mix well. Stir in water and chocolate chips until combined. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool on a wire rack.

In a saucepan, combine chips, milk and butter until chips and butter are melted. Remove from the heat; whisk in the powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until frosting is room temperature, about 20 minutes; frost brownies. Cut into bars.

 

Yield: 4 dozen brownies
