mashed ripe bananas |

unsweetened cocoa |

Preheat oven
to 350 degrees F. Grease 9x13" pan. |

In a large
mixing bowl, combine butter and sugar and cream
together. Add egg and vanilla and beat until
thoroughly combined. Blend in bananas. |

In separate
bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda
and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. |

Divide the
batter in half. Add the cocoa to ½ the batter.
Spread the cocoa batter into the prepared pan.
Spoon remaining batter on top and swirl it with
a knife. |

Bake 25
minutes, or until bars test done (toothpick
inserted in the middle comes out clean). |

this one's a keeper!- would
make it again. "This was a yummy treat. I didn't have any
cocoa on hand, so I used 1/3 cup Hershey's chocolate syrup instead.
To make it extra chocolatey, I also added about 1/2 cup chocolate chips
to the bottom layer."
