 Hershey Bar Cake

 

Delicious just sprinkled with powdered sugar...
 

One 10oz. 

 

Hershey bar

 

1 cup 

 

butter

 

2 cups 

 

granulated sugar

 

4 large 

 

eggs

 

1 cup 

 

buttermilk

 

½ tsp 

 

baking soda

 

2½ cups 

 

cake flour

 

5½ oz. 

 

can Hershey's chocolate syrup

 

1 tsp 

 

vanilla extract

 

 

 

powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt chocolate bar in the top of a double boiler.

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Stir baking soda in the buttermilk. Alternately add buttermilk and flour into creamed mixture. Add melted chocolate bar, chocolate syrup and vanilla.

Pour into a greased and floured tube pan (not a bundt pan).

Bake for 70 minutes. Remove from oven, cool, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
