Preheat oven
to 325 degrees. Grease and flour one loaf pan. |

Mix flour,
baking powder and salt in small bowl. Set aside. |

In small
bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Set aside. |

Rinse off
beaters and cream butter with hand mixer in
large bowl. Add sugar and beat until creamy. Add
egg yolks, one at a time. |

Gradually
blend in dry mixture. Add vanilla. Blend egg
whites into batter. |
|
6 |
Pour batter
into prepared pan and bake for one hour. Test
doneness with toothpick- insert into center and
it should come out clean.
