 Almond Roca

 

Great on a dessert tray, or as a hostess gift...
 

1 cup 

 

packed brown sugar

 

4 bars 

 

of chocolate

 

½ lb 

 

butter

 

 

 

toasted almonds

Butter 9x6" pan. Pour toasted almonds on bottom.

In heavy saucepan melt butter and add brown sugar. Stir until boiling. Boil 12 minutes exactly, stirring constantly.

Pour hot mixture into pan over almonds. Place chocolate bars on top. Spread chocolate around carefully when melted. Sprinkle with more toasted almonds.

Cool completely, and then break apart into chunks with a sharp knife. Store in a covered container.
