 Turtle Cookies

 

Chewy and yummy...
 

1 cup 

 

butter, softened

 

1 cup 

 

granulated sugar

 

1 large 

 

egg

 

1 tsp 

 

vanilla extract

 

2 oz. 

 

unsweetened chocolate, melted

 

2 ½ cups 

 

flour

 

20 caramel 

 

squares, unwrapped

 

¼ cup 

 

half and half cream

 

 

 

pecan halves

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, chocolate and flour. Shape into 1" balls. Place on a cookie sheet and make a thumbprint in each ball.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool.

Melt caramels in double boiler. Stir in half and half. Spoon caramel mixture into each cookie imprint. Top with a pecan half.
