packed brown sugar |

chocolate |

½
lb |
|
butter |
|
|
|
|
toasted almonds |
|
|

Butter 9x6"
pan. Pour toasted almonds on bottom. |

In heavy
saucepan melt butter and add brown sugar. Stir
until boiling. Boil 12 minutes exactly, stirring
constantly. |

Pour hot
mixture into pan over almonds. Place chocolate
bars on top. Spread chocolate around carefully
when melted. Sprinkle with more toasted almonds. |

Cool
completely, and then break apart into chunks
with a sharp knife. Store in a covered
container.
