light corn syrup |

macadamia nuts, each nut cut in half |

baking soda |

Butter a
large baking sheet and set aside. |

In a large
nonstick pan, combine sugar with water and corn
syrup. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring
occasionally, until golden brown. |

Stir in
nuts; cook, stirring constantly, until medium
brown. Be careful not to burn! Remove from heat;
quickly stir in butter and baking soda. Pour
onto baking sheet. Cool on a wire rack. |

When cooled,
break into pieces. Store in a tightly covered
container.
