 Frozen Chocolate Mousse

 

Any chocolate lover's delight...
 

 

 

CRUST:

 

1 8½oz. 

 

package of oreo cookies, crushed

 

¼ cup 

 

butter, melted
 

 

 

 

FILLING:

 

1 8oz. 

 

package cream cheese, softened

 

2 large 

 

eggs, separated

 

1 6oz. 

 

package semi-sweet chocolate bits, melted

 

½ cup 

 

granulated sugar, divided

 

1 tsp 

 

vanilla extract

 

1 cup 

 

heavy cream, whipped

 

¾ cup 

 

chopped pecans

Combine crust ingredients and press into a 9x13" pan and chill.

Combine cream cheese, 2 beaten egg yolks, melted chocolate, ¼ cup sugar and vanilla. In another bowl, beat 2 egg whites until soft peaks form, and gradually add ¼ cup sugar. Carefully fold egg white mixture into chocolate mixture. Fold in whipped cream and chopped pecans. Pour entire mixture over crust and freeze at least 8 hours.

Cut into squares and serve.
