When shopping for serving
dishes,
consider collecting various sizes,
shapes and heights.
This will add
needed variety to your display area.
If you're using
a tablecloth, you can
also create the "illusion" of height by
placing
different sized boxes, stacked
books, or pots turned upside down on
your
table. Drape the tablecloth over
the items, add additional decor,
and
you've got a multi-level display on
which to place your food items. It's
much more interesting
to the eye to
view varied heights than to see
everything flat on the
table.
Think "outside the serving dish!"
Typically Sangria would be
served in
a pitcher... Here a large glass vase
was used ($9.99 at Home
Goods).
The guests raved about the Sangria,
but also about its
display!

It's always great to have an assort-
ment of solid colored dishes as they
are easier to accessorize. Cheerful
patterns are fun too!

Use different types of

for dips, salsas, guacamole, and their
accompaniments.

Buy an assortment of shaped
platters. Varied shapes add
interest
to your display.
