 Hamburgers with Cabernet and Sauteed Onions

 

Red wine adds a unique flavor to the old standby...
 

4 medium 

 

onions, chopped

 

¼ cup 

 

butter

 

1½ lbs 

 

ground lean hamburger

 

1½ lbs 

 

ground lean sirloin

 

1 cup 

 

cabernet sauvignon

 

2 tsp 

 

celery salt

 

2 tsp 

 

dry mustard

 

1 tsp 

 

salt

 

1 tsp 

 

pepper

 

½ tsp 

 

garlic salt

 

½ tsp 

 

thyme

Sauté onions in butter until just browned. Mix with remaining ingredients, and form into 8 patties.

Grill on hot barbecue until desired doneness.
