 Mushroom Pork Chops

 

Delicious mushrooms accompany these pork chops in a creamy sauce...
 

2 Tbs 

 

butter

1" thick large pork chops

 

2 cups 

 

sliced button mushrooms

 

½

 

lemon, juiced

 

1 Tbs 

 

flour

 

½ tsp 

 

dried thyme

 

4 Tbs 

 

heavy whipping cream

 

 

 

salt and pepper to taste

 

 

 

parsley, for garnish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In saute pan, melt butter and brown chops on both sides. Transfer each chop to a piece of foil large enough to wrap around the chop.

Add mushrooms to the pan and saute. Pour in lemon juice. After 1 minute, stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Season chops with salt, pepper and thyme. Spoon mushroom mixture and then cream onto the chops. Wrap chops securely in foil. Place onto baking sheet or in roasting pan and bake for 1 hour.
