 Honey Glazed Green Bean Almondine

 

Sweet flavor with crunchy almonds... yum!
 

4 cups 

 

fresh green beans

 

1 Tbs 

 

butter

 

1 Tbs 

 

honey

 

¼ tsp 

 

ground nutmeg

 

½ cup 

 

almond slivers, toasted

 

 

 

salt and pepper to taste

Prepare green beans. Boil or steam until tender. Drain and place on serving dish.

Melt butter over low heat and add honey, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Stir into green beans.

Garnish with almond slivers.

 

Servings: 6

 

 Cooking Tips

*I have found that the simplest way to toast raw almond slivers is to heat them in a dry frying pan. Stir often until they are toasted.
