Sugar Snap Peas with Basil and Lemon

 

 

A quick and easy side dish...
 

1 tsp 

 

olive oil

 

1 cup 

 

fresh sugar snap peas, trimmed

 

¼ cup 

 

coarsely chopped fresh basil

 

½ tsp 

 

grated lemon peel

 

¼ tsp 

 

salt

 

¼ tsp 

 

ground white pepper

 

 

 

basil sprigs, optional

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-heat until hot. Add peas; sauté 3 minutes or until crisp- tender.

Sprinkle peas with chopped basil and next 3 ingredients; sauté 1 minute. Garnish with basil sprigs, if desired. Serve immediately.
