sliced fresh mushrooms |

BECHAMEL SAUCE: |

butter |

Sauté
asparagus stalks in butter; when tender yet
crisp, add asparagus tips, mushrooms, onions,
chicken broth and seasonings. |

mushrooms are cooked, add enough Béchamel Sauce
to thickly coat vegetables. Serve. |

To prepare
sauce: Sauté butter and flour in a small
saucepan for a few minutes. Add milk and cook
until thickened and smooth, stirring constantly. |
