cherry tomatoes, halved |

sugar (or less to taste, depending on
sweetness of tomatoes) |

garlic, minced |

coarsely chopped fresh basil |

salt
and ground black pepper |

Heat oil in
12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until
shimmering. Add tomatoes and sugar and cook,
tossing frequently, until tomatoes are hot,
about 1 minute. Stir in garlic and cook until
fragrant, about 30 seconds. Off heat, stir in
basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve. |

Cooking Tips:
*Substitute Mexican seasoning for basil, and this
makes a nice side dish to Mexican food. |
