black beans, rinsed and well drained |

In a large
skillet, heat oil over low heat. Sauté onions
and pepper for 10 minutes, or until tender but
not browned. |

Turn up heat
to medium and add sausage and turkey. Cook until
browned. Drain excess fat from pan. |

Add garlic,
chilies, pepper, salt, chili powder, oregano,
basil and tomato paste. Stir in tomatoes, beer
and beans. |

Simmer over
low heat for 20-30 minutes. Taste to adjust
seasonings. |

Stir in
cilantro before serving. |
