Spray a
nonstick saucepan with nonstick spray and set
over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic
and sauté until translucent. Add the butter.
When melted, add the flour and stir until the
mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and add
the broth a little at a time, whisking it into
the flour completely before adding more. Return
the pan to heat and stir in the milk, then add
the asparagus, salt and pepper. Reduce the heat
and simmer until the asparagus is tender, about
20 minutes. |
