Hot Rum Sauce

Ingredients
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon all purpose flour
- ½ cup boiling water
- ⅓ cup rum
Instructions
- Place butter, sugar and flour in small saucepan. Whisk together thoroughly and slowly whisk in the boiling water. Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens and is clear.
- Remove from heat and stir in the rum. Serve warm!
Notes
If you enjoy a stronger rum flavor, increase the quantity to ½ cup rum.
