Orange Cream Sauce
This is a wonderful dessert topping and is nice served over berries, too.

Ingredients
- ½ cup granulated white sugar
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
- ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Combine sugar, rind and orange juice in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring only until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 10 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and cool completely.
- Whip cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in orange syrup.
- Serve over strawberries, other fresh fruit or your favorite dessert.
Notes
- You may substitute blueberries or raspberries for the strawberries, in which case you would substitute lemon juice/rind for the orange.
