This Whipped Goat Cheese and Ricotta Dip is a delicious one to add to an appetizer board!
It’s nice to have a variety of dips and spread recipes on hand that are easy to make when you have guests heading over to your house. I’m pretty crazy about goat cheese, but when you whip it up, it’s even better. This Whipped Goat Cheese and Ricotta Dip is light and creamy, and it’s perfect for serving with all kinds of goodies.

How to make Whipped Goat Cheese and Ricotta Dip:
Use your stand mixer to whip the goat cheese and ricotta cheese together with the wire whisk attachment. If you don’t have a stand mixer, it’s okay to use a hand mixer instead. You just want it to get to the consistency of being light and airy.
Add lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, salt and pepper. Whip one more time. Transfer it to a bowl. At this point, you can cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip until it’s time to serve.
When ready to serve, drizzle honey on top, and sprinkle a little lemon zest, salt and pepper on there too.
To make things fun for entertaining, add your whipped goat cheese and ricotta dip to a board, and surround it with goodies. Fresh veggies are delicious with this dip. I recommend bell peppers, carrots and/or peppers. Fresh fruit is good too. Try red grapes, figs, blackberries and strawberries. Baguette slices, crackers or little toasts are good to include for the carb lovers in the room. And nuts are just a good addition to a board, so you can do that too.
This dip is creamy and tasty. I love them lemon flavor in the dip, as well as the slightly sweet flavor from the honey too.
I love to create boards for parties. And people seem to like grazing from them too. So Maegan’s new book is perfect for people like me (people who like to entertain). I brought this little board to a party that we were going to, and there was nothing left on the board at the end of the night. Whipped Goat Cheese and Ricotta Dip
Recipe Details
Ingredients
- 8 ounces goat cheese
- 1 cup good quality whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (plus more, for garnishing)
- 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (plus more, for garnishing)
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (plus more, for garnishing)
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (plus more, for garnishing)
Instructions
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the wire whisk attachment, whip the goat cheese and ricotta together on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes, or until light and airy. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, salt and black pepper, and whip again for another minute.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl or platter and garnish with a generous drizzle of honey, lemon zest, salt and black pepper.
Notes
- Serve with: baguette slices, crackers, grapes, figs, carrots, cucumber, etc.
