Honey Lemon Sauce
A great topping for french toast, waffles or breakfast bread pudding.

Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup (½ stick) salted butter
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 1 dash salt
Instructions
- Whisk together the water and cornstarch in a small bowl; set aside.
- Stir together the remaining ingredients in a saucepan, then stir in the water mixture. Cook and stir over medium high heat until mixture thickens.
- Serve hot or cold.
Notes
- If you are preparing this recipe as GLUTEN-FREE, just be sure to use a brand of honey that is known to be GF.
- For a special treat, try this over breakfast bread pudding.
