Hot Cherry Sauce
HOT CHERRY SAUCE

1 lb dark sweet cherries, stemmed and pitted
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ cup water
½ tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of ground cloves
pinch of ground nutmeg
½ cup seedless raspberry jam
1. Put cherries in medium saucepan; add sugar, water, and spices. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Remove cherries with slotted spoon; add jam and boil until syrupy. Pour syrup over cherries.
3. Ready to serve!
Cooking Tips
*This may drizzled over vanilla ice cream, and can also be served chilled as a cherry dessert with a dollop of sour cream on top.
